Summary
A style of art and architecture from about the 10th to 12th centuries in Europe. It features thick stone walls, rounded arches, barrel [[Vault|vault]]s, small windows, and religious sculptures. The style looks solid, heavy, and symmetrical, focusing on strength and faith rather than realism.
In-between 1000 AD and the rise of Gothic in the 12th century, European art took on a Romanesque style.
